We ran into this issue when one of our employees had a title change from "onboarding manager" to "senior account executive". We weren't able to update the sender.title variable for that user / contact and the PD support team submitted this feature request for us.
For anyone reading: It's super annoying, but the only workaround right now is to remove your employee's user, edit the contact, then re-add the user.
