Hi,
Thank you so much for reaching out! This is a great suggestion and we have had other customers asking about this feature as well. While we’re looking into the possibility of developing it, it isn’t on our product roadmap for the next few months. We will definitely work on approval workflow improvements and the ability to edit the document while in the approval stage is one of the key things we are considering for delivery. Hi. We aren’t planning on building this into our feature set at this point in time since it doesn’t fit into our current product roadmap. Please keep upvoting this idea so we can keep considering it every time we work on our roadmap. The lack of this ability is very cumbersome. Sometimes we need to make edits that don't need approval again, so it gets turned off. Sometimes another larger edit comes through that does need approval, and then we can no longer turn it back on for the document - it gets completely disconnected from the original template (that DID and STILL DOES have approvals enabled). Then we're forced to create an entirely new document losing all history associated, which is frustrating and can make it hard to follow an audit trail for specific contracts if new versions had to be created.
