We wanted to share an update regarding zooming in or out of the document. After careful consideration and further analysis of the idea, we have adjusted its status to "Not Planned."
This change allows us to further explore the feasibility and impact of this and other requested enhancements, ensuring that any updates we introduce are in the best interest of our users and align with our platform's long-term vision.
    We appreciate your understanding.

This is a big concern for us, as some of our clients have less-than-perfect eyesight and struggle to read documents as they are currently presented. Implementing a simple +/- zoom button would allow them to zoom in and out easily, making the documents more comfortable to read. Zooming could be implemented using the browser's native API, so no complex document scaling required.

Given that many users may not know how to use the browser's native zoom controls, implementing clearly visible zoom options would greatly enhance accessibility. This feature would make PandaDoc much more user-friendly for those with visual impairments and align with accessibility best practices, ensuring that all users can interact with documents comfortably.

According to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which are frequently referenced for ADA compliance (Americans with Disabilities Act) , it is recommended that users be able to resize text up to 200% without loss of functionality or content. Adding zoom controls would help meet these guidelines, improving overall accessibility and user satisfaction.

Since PandaDoc already complies with GDPR, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, ESIGN/UETA, and FERPA, extending compliance to ADA requirements would be a natural complement to these standards. The good news is, adding this functionality would be fairly simple, as controlling the browser's zoom can easily be controlled with a single line of JavaScript code, apart from the buttons themselves.

At present, I'll either have to continue telling our clients how to zoom in and out with each document, or use another document signing tool for them. I really like PandaDoc so am hoping this feature is added. Thanks!
