Hi!
We have made significant improvements in the docx import and export experience in 2021 and 2022, but aren't currently planning on additional features or improvements in this area since it doesn’t fit into our current product roadmap. Please keep upvoting this idea so we can keep considering it every time we work on our roadmap.

[WORKAROUND]
Hi all!
I’m happy to announce that you can now edit an approval workflow at the document level, whenever a document is in draft status. This change could help you in case an original approver is unavailable to perform the action (maybe they’re on vacation) and you need to change the approver without disrupting the approval process. At this time, some formatting may be lost when uploading docx files. For example, images may be lost, background images may be lost, text formatting may be lost, text may shift, etc.
