Allow negative $ amounts in a catalog item (ex. a flat military/first responder/teacher discount)

I would like to be able to put in a negative number for a line item in the catalog so that clients can see the discount as an item and it's clear for them to see in the quote.

    thank you for your reply.

    The absolute discount amount works fine for us.
    We are aware that negative-priced products can be added, but this only supports fixed discount amounts. What we are looking for is the ability to apply a discount as a percentage of the quote total (e.g. -10%), which then adjusts automatically when products or quantities change.

    Is there currently a way to achieve this, or is percentage-based discounting not supported yet?

    Having an option negative line item (for example, a cash discount) that a customer can choose or not would be amazing.

    I would like to be able to give a product in the catalog a negative value to use as a discount. This would be especially helpful in the quote builder.

    Super important to have discounts in our catalog for better tracking and to improve the user experience for both our sales team and clients.
