Would also be incredibly helpful if the page numbers could be placed and formatted as desired. There is another idea for page number variables (Proposify does it this way) that could just be put onto slides (ex. in a footer) and incorporated into the overall design.

This would be incredibly helpful, as it would let us format them the way we want. Currently, we have to plan page footers around the way the page numbers will be added, which can cause sub-optimal design.

For use cases where content locking doesn't work because some changes are allowed, it would be very helpful for approvers to be able to quickly see which sections were edited manually rather than having to re-read the whole thing.

This is particularly problematic if you want to have headers/footers on your pages (which you can't do on cover pages).

This would be super helpful - especially when trying to reproduce existing slides for the first time (ex. copying an image in Google Docs or Powerpoint and then pasting directly into PandaDocs).

Would be great to combine with Salesforce document creation to be able to control the title of the created documents. Right now they get the opportunity name, so you can't tell which is which if there are different documents (without manually renaming).

Changing formats for dates pulled from Salesforce (as suggested in the docs) does work for that scenario, but most PandaDoc users who are building templates are not Salesforce admins, so have neither the knowledge nor the permission to do this.

I'd add to this... We have documents with lots of text (ex. legal documents, or statements of work with language for various products) that need to be numbered (outline style) but each of which may or may not be included in any particular document. If we want to keep the content in the content library and add it as needed, we have to manually number it all.
