Approvals process and actual workflow for contract going in navigating between different parties within the same company.
For example, after you're able to do that where you set up a workflow approval process where you send a draft on over to someone. It gets edited, and then if it gets approved it gets sent on to the next party; If it gets declined, then it either stays with them until it gets edited, or tracks and goes back to step. When adding a new approver they can't update any document that was created prior to the change.
When adding a new approver they can't update any document that was created prior to the change. This creates a bad experience where a new doc needs to be created via the template or the new approver can't approve. This creates a bad experience for the internal team and adds a delay for the recipient.

Highlight required variables for approver
Let's say a document is sent for approval. When an approver reviews the document, as the document is in "Waiting for approval" status, the variables are not highlighted in yellow anymore and because of that the approver can't see what variables were filled in by the document sender and which variables were NOT filled in by the documents sender. The client wants a better experience and requests the ability to highlight required variables in such a way that this highlighting persists for the documents in the "Waiting for approval" status. When I send a contract with "Document.ExpirationDate" field to my manager for approval, this field is blank.
"Document.ExpirationDate" should be visible to the approver of a document with a note saying this will be populated once sent to client and reference the settings on the document eg. "the date will automatically be populated with an expiry date 7 days after the date it is sent"
