Hi. We aren’t planning on building this into our feature set at this point in time since it doesn’t fit into our current product roadmap. Please keep upvoting this idea so we can keep considering it every time we work on our roadmap.
Should you come across any other ideas that suit your business needs, don’t hesitate to give them an upvote!

Many documents (deeds) for example relating to directors and shareholders in Westminster-based legal jurisdictions (at least UK and all of its colonies and former colonies, like Canada, Australia, New Zealand) require witnessing. The current functionality and witness user experience is not adequate - it doesn't allow the witness to see the signature they are "witnessing" or have any other interaction with the person whose signature they are witnessing. I imagine this is not an irrelevant requirement for the US market either, and competitors have this requirement covered fairly well.

This feature is critical for any law firms in Australia to use this signature platform. We have had to sign up to a competitor will end up ceasing our PandaDoc licence this is not on the roadmap soon.

Until the June 2021 upgrade, there was a feature that allowed a signed document to be forwarded to a witness for signing. All fields were initially assinged to the signer, the signer signs the document and forwards it to their chosen witness, entering the witness name and email address. The witness name and email address populated in the witness fields and they were able to sign.
This feature was removed. Now when the document is forwarded to the witness, it clears the signatures that have already been inserted by the signer.
This is a critical feature for the product to be useful for our business. If we can't have this feature reinstated, we will have to switch to an alternative online signing tool.

When signing contracts or company documents many companies require 2 signatories or a witness signature for the agreement to be binding. Almost always I won't know who the person's witness signatory (+ email) will be or the second director\ signatory (+email). It would be super useful if the recipient got a message saying "add second signatory details"
The other part to signing is knowing the capacity someone signs as - either as an individual or a corporate.
When you have to get a contract signed you have to find out who is signing before setting up the document. It would be great to be able to just set up the contract and the recipient, through a workflow process, signs the correct areas. See uploaded signing pages example).Maybe it's a case of all signature areas get signature fields, text...allocated and the recipient can delete the fields that are not applicable???

The recipient should be able to choose anyone to sign as a witness, and we won't know their details beforehand. This is normal legal practice in Australia for all Deeds and many types of contract.
