Approvals are set up on a document level
I'm wondering if it is possible to set someone as an approver as a one off, instead of having an approver assigned to a template. I'd like to be able to assign a unique approver when a document is generated, instead of having it preassigned in the PandaDoc workflow.

We just started using Pandadoc and realized this is a problem for us. Hopefully, Pandadoc can add this feature soon.

We have been asking for this since we have been with PandaDoc, about 4 years ago. This is absolutely critical and has caused lots of extra work to find work-arounds, to the point where we are considering moving on to a platform that can accommodate this request in a better way with less work-arounds.

As per client: To be able to change the approver once the document is created if in case the approver is on leave

It's related to the possibility of being able to create workflows/approval roles to single documents, and not just as a template level. In our case, we would love to have the flexibility to add a workflow and approvers for single documents. We look forward to having this feature implemented any time soon as some of your top competitors have it. Client: Sweetrush

YES! We currently have duplicate copies of a template so that we can set different approvers for the same template, since not everyone needs to approve every instance the template is being used. It would be SO much more efficient to be able to set an "approval group" for a template, and then once it's used to create a document you can select specific approvers from that group actually need to approve the document. Not really a "template" if we need 10 different copies depending on who we want to approve...

Approvals based on a field in the document, ex: sales engineer. The approval workflow would assign to the resource on that document field.

This template level process creates a huge amount of work when working with multiple dashboards and multiple. Your competitors have such a feature

Approval Workflows are set at the template level; however, sometimes approvers are unavailable and we don't know this until the document is already created and being routed for approvals. I would like to have the Admin permission to override an approval on the document without having to go back to the template. We create long and complex documents with a lot of collaboration. To start over is a lot of work and sometimes impossible.

The ability to change the approver workflow from the document level would be huge. I am curious of two things, 1) At what point will PD consider this update in their roadmap? 2) What are users doing in the interim to work around this restricted feature?

Conditional approvals at the document level rather than at the template level.

When duplicating a completed document it would be nice to change approval workflows and not be locked to the original template.

Approvers to be edited on a document level.

When you create a document from a template, the approver on the template level is inherited. It would be nice to be able to create a document from a template and at this point get to choose who the document approver is. This way you don't need to keep changing the approver on the template level.
