Support Loom video embed in documents
support Loom video for documents like YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, or Vidyard.
Hi. We aren’t planning on building this into our feature set at this point in time since it doesn’t fit into our current product roadmap. Please keep upvoting this idea so we can keep considering it every time we work on our roadmap.
Should you come across any other ideas that suit your business needs, don’t hesitate to give them an upvote!

This is a vital feature. Loom is the market leader in this space, and PandaDoc is missing out on not having them on the platform. At the moment, I have to send prospects off-site of PandaDoc to view these videos.

I am at the same crossroads right now. We have to send a separate Loom link to our customers when it would be so much easier to just embed it in the PandaDoc proposal like a YouTube link. Let’s get it done, PandaDoc!

Loom video embed in PandaDoc documents is a vital feature that can greatly enhance the functionality and user experience of the platform. Here are my reasons why:
Personalized Customer Experience
Using Loom, we can create personalized video introductions for each proposal, significantly increasing engagement. Personalized videos help build a stronger connection with the recipient, as they can see and hear from the person behind the proposal. This personal touch has been proven to increase proposal execution rates by at least 20%.
Streamlined Workflow
Currently, embedding videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, or Vidyard involves a multi-step process that is time-consuming and inefficient. With Loom, the process is simplified:
1. Record the video.
2. Embed it directly into the proposal.
3. Send it to the client. This streamlined workflow saves significant time and resources, allowing us to focus on more important tasks like client interaction and proposal refinement.
Cost Efficiency
Platforms like Wistia and Vidyard are expensive and limit the number of video embeds, adding unnecessary costs to our operations. Loom, on the other hand, is more affordable and offers a simple, cost-effective solution that doesn't compromise on quality or functionality.
Enhanced Tracking and Feedback
Loom provides detailed tracking and feedback mechanisms, allowing us to know when a client has viewed the video, commented on it, or interacted with it in any way. This feature is crucial for understanding client engagement and tailoring follow-up communications effectively.
Industry Needs
In industries where coordinating proposal review meetings with all stakeholders is challenging, video embeds offer an asynchronous solution that can convey complex information effectively without the need for real-time meetings. Loom's ease of use makes it the ideal tool for this purpose.
Growing Popularity and User Preference
Loom is rapidly growing in popularity and has become a preferred tool for many professionals. Its intuitive interface and quick setup time make it a favored choice over more cumbersome platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia. By integrating Loom, PandaDoc can align itself with user preferences and stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
Competitive Advantage
Offering Loom integration can give PandaDoc a significant competitive advantage. Clients who prefer Loom will find PandaDoc more appealing, potentially increasing customer satisfaction and retention rates.
Direct User Feedback
As echoed by various users, the current alternatives are tedious and not user-friendly. Users have explicitly expressed their preference for Loom due to its simplicity, efficiency, and superior user experience. Listening to this feedback and acting on it will demonstrate PandaDoc's commitment to meeting user needs and improving its platform based on direct input.
In conclusion, integrating Loom into PandaDoc is not just a nice-to-have feature but a critical enhancement that can streamline workflows, reduce costs, improve user experience, and ultimately lead to higher proposal success rates. I strongly urge PandaDoc to reconsider its roadmap and prioritize this integration to meet the evolving needs of its users.

As others have mentioned, utilizing Loom Video embeds in documents is a critical item for us as using video to sell the value in our proposals is extremely important.
We're in an industry that is difficult (near impossible) to coordinate proposal review meetings with all the stakeholders. As others mentioned YouTube is tedious and time consuming, Wistia is the same process, but more expensive, Vimeo is better than YouTube & Wistia, but again tedious (i.e. adds significant time and cost to our process workflow), Vidyard has the closest process where you can record and host your video, but they are also expensive, limiting your account to 50 embeds.
Loom would allow us to record a personalized video introduction to each proposal in 2-5 minutes from recording to embed, and video increases our close rate (proposal execution rate) by at least 15%. Please add this feature! Thank you.

I can't believe the solution is to make the user load a Loom into YouTube. I can't think of anything more tedious or annoying. Please add this feature!

Agreed! I do not want to...
1. Shoot a video.
2. Go to youtube/vimeo
3. Upload the video
4. Wait for it to render
5. Go back to pandadoc
6. Embed the video
7. Send the proposal...Instead, I want to...
1. Shoot my loom
2. Embed in the proposal
3. Send to clientWhich then lets me know when they have viewed the video, commented on the video, or anything else. Great for when I can't for whatever reason get on Zoom or in-person to present the information in a controlled environment.

I am def down to get loom working with you guys. Vimeo's support is horrible. Vidyard isn't much better but loom is amazing and a very fast growing company. Please consider adding them to your accepted video formats because I switch from loom to vimeo just for your software and my experience has been horrible since.

For CSMs - using Cloudapp and/or Loom to record videos for clients on decks (QBR, Success Plans, ...) would like the ability to embed within a PandaDoc template
