Pass fields formatting of Rich Text Fields from Salesforce to PandaDoc and have markdown or HTML inside of a variable
Salesforce Rich Text Fields format copying
I want to be able to preserve the formatting of Rich Text Fields when sending them from Salesforce CRM to a PandaDoc template please. At the very least, I want to preserve line breaks!
Hi. We aren’t planning on building this into our feature set at this point in time since it doesn’t fit into our current product roadmap. Please keep upvoting this idea so we can keep considering it every time we work on our roadmap.

Critical indeed! Need to pass Markdown or basic HTML into any field / pricing table and preserve the styling.

As part of our quoting process in Salesforce many time we need users to be able to provide additional details and terms on a quote in Salesforce. It is very cumbersome to have to directly add this to a quote in pandadoc and double enter it as it is critical to have this data in Salesforce as well.

Being able to pass a table, and/or rich text with markdown into the document as a variable would be a huge improvement! Many use cases call for merging in data (say from Google Sheets) that might be more complex than is currently permitted. e.g. if I insert a numbered list e.g. [Project.Deliverables] from Google Sheets or Google Docs, it comes in as unformatted text, concatenated without numbering or new lines.
My common use cases are for addresses, price lists and schedule of deliverables for a contract. -

Submitting proposals for five and six figure deals that are just plain text can make or break the usefulness of PD. It's simply not possible to impress potential clients with such a basic format. I've spent countless hours trying to make it look more professional, but it's difficult to fake without the proper tools.

This lack of functionality in the integration will greatly determine whether or not we renew our licenses with Pandadocs.
