having visible page numbers on the web version of the doc is a critical requirement when drafting proposals to enable us to refer to specific pages which can then be easily identified.

I cannot believe such a simple request, that would have high impact, first made in 2020 has still not been addressed.

I have had multiple clients complain about not being able to tell what page something is on. Really need something similar to Word that auto populates page numbers to a Table of Contents and on each separate page.

Ability to add page numbers (Page 1 or 1/X, similar to Word) on a header or footer on the template level.

Would also be incredibly helpful if the page numbers could be placed and formatted as desired. There is another idea for page number variables (Proposify does it this way) that could just be put onto slides (ex. in a footer) and incorporated into the overall design.

Totally agree this is a shocking omission - I've been working on a proposal that grew to 80 pages and I suspect that is not the biggest document people might need to navigate through... the page pane and the page you are editing can easily get out of sync....(they do not auto synchronise) and so having the Page number next to what you are editing is essential in larger documents..... also on the Page pane icons, it gives you a page number and whether it is Content or a Cover or an Attachment etc... but you cant just get an idea as to what is on the page..

It would really help if it presented the [Header 1] text that the ToC uses so you know what the page is about....

In the thumbnail pages pop-out sidebar, allow a page title or short description. This would allow us to very quickly scroll down and identify our Pricing Table page, or our Summary page, etc. Right now you have to scroll through every page to locate the page you need to edit.

I was honestly flabbergasted that this is not a feature yet. We are seriously considering just sticking with Google docs or word docs for this reason. Our proposals get pretty long, and it's nice to be able to reference a specific page.

YES! We have large documents that we review with clients digitally. Referencing page numbers in conversation would make this meeting go a lot smoother.

Also, it would be great if the pages pop-out sidebar showed a preview of that page rather than just the "page number."

CBRE has many pages of proposals/content and would be helpful to have a page number either flash as your scrolling to know what page you are on or be able to see it.

Automatic page numbering. At the moment, as illustrated below, we have page numbers on all of our proposal templates that we have to manually update everytime we delete/add in a new page which adds considerable time. We are not fussy about where the page numbers are positioned on the page, but we would like a feature that automatically updates as and when you delete or add a new page into the document.
