Dynamic reference to section headers
When you write contracts you typically reference another section in the document. For example you might say "as per Section 2.6". But if you then decide that section 2.6 needs to be moved, and it changes to section 3.3, all of the places in the document that say "as per section 2.6" won't dynamically change. This leads to broken references in the document.
I would like section headers to get an ID and number/title properties. You would reference them like this: [ID.title] or [ID.name]. So in the above example, I'd go to Section 2 and get the ID. Lets call…

Overset Text & Flow Features Similar to InDesign
I believe it would be useful to have overset text flow into the next textbox, in a similar fashion to InDesign. In this way, on a multi-page document, if an individual needs to make major edits to the text, they will not also have to manually update the formatting on every page thereafter. See attached gif for an example of this overset text flow in action. Happy to provide more info if needed!

Smart content: set a pricing table out of 3 as an automatic source of payment
When the pricing tables are added via Smart content, set up automatically which table will be the source for the payment.

Set Color Fill within the Theme
Set within a theme the ability to choose a fill-in color to match branding for the account. At the moment, fill color isn't able to be saved to a theme requiring manual adjustment each time using the HEX code.

New Editor: Restore recently used hex color swatch persistence for individual table cell editing
In the classic editor, recently used hex color codes were saved as persistent swatches within a document, allowing users to quickly reuse custom colors when editing individual table cells without having to retype the hex code each time. Since the rollout of the new editor experience (Project Delta), this behavior no longer persists. Users who apply custom hex colors to individual cells are required to manually retype the hex code every time, significantly disrupting their editing workflow. Please consider restoring this color swatch persistence in the new editor.

Pin/Split-View for Document Arrangement & Signature Boxes
The UI uses tabs for "Document arrangement" (left) and "Signature boxes" (right). When you click one tab, the other disappears, forcing constant toggling.
Request: Add a "pin" button that allows both tabs to be visible side-by-side simultaneously (split-view).

Multi-Signer Field Management - UI
Problem: When preparing a document with multiple signers (e.g., 2 clients + sender = 3 signers), users must toggle/switch between signers repeatedly to place signature, date, and initial boxes. This requires excessive clicking.
Request:
Option A: Show all signer fields (signature, date, initial boxes) for all signers on the same screen simultaneously
Option B: Add keyboard shortcuts to jump between signers quickly

Smart Content Block is Totally Delete-able
How come we can block editing/removal of content blocks but not smart content? I want people to NOT be able to delete a smart content block - forcing them to choose from the preselected content library options. Currently, someone can delete the entire smart content block.

visible (printable) borders for fillable field
Our customers often print out a document before signing, for offline study. On paper, there is no clue that there are checkboxes or radio buttons for our options. Having a box there (checked or not) where the border of the field should be, like on the screen, would make the structure of the document easier to grasp.

Save Headers and Footers to Content Library (and reuse across documents)
Description: Allow headers and footers to be saved as Content Library items so they can be reused and transferred into different documents. Today, headers and footers can only be added on Blank pages, and when you save a whole page as a Content Library item, the header and footer design does not save. This makes it hard to keep branding consistent across documents created from drafts or other starting points.
Use case: Create a document from a ChatGPT draft (through the integration), then quickly drop in the saved header and footer to make it “send ready” without rebuilding the header…

Add a "Drag" or "Move" button with fillable fields.
Right now, you can drag fillable fields by double-clicking and holding onto the second click. It would help with accessibility to have a visual button that lets you click on it instead of the actual field.
This way, you know that you are clicking on the button to "Drag" or "Move" the field. And it avoids "Clicking" on the actual field

Keep Field ID data for Fillable Fields when adding Content Library documents
Currently, custom Field IDs for fields added to Content Library documents automatically include a number starting with "1" after the Field ID name. A specific Field ID has been entered for a Fillable Field that would be the same in various documents in the Content Library. Adding various forms with these fields into a template do not link because a number is being added to the Field ID name. Users have to manually check each field and delete the number from the Field ID so that it can automatically link to each other throughout the document. For long documents, this…

Table Editing Tools
After the new update, now when you are editing a table the tool bar is at the very top or bottom of the table rather than at the row you are working in. Which means when working with a long table you are now wasting time continuously scrolling to the top/bottom to add a row or delete a row etc.
