Previous Templates are updated once the Content library item is updated as well.

It is possible to update templates with the latest content library item using a Smart Content placeholder in auto insert mode. Please take a look - https://pandadoc.wistia.com/medias/sjrtedh3o5

Centrally controlled attachments / Pages
At the moment to update important information such as T&C or banking details I have to manually go through every single template within the company.
I would like to be able to have certain pages & attachments centrally controlled allowing you to update the reference attachment or page and automatically update everyones templates within the business.
This would save a large amount of resources when managing/updating the templates.

The expected behavior was to be able to edit any of the ābundledā templates directly, and have the contents get updated anywhere that template was used (except for previously created proposals, of course).

Isn't this solved with the Smart Content, automatically add new T&C upon creating a document from template?

Without having to use a theme.

I understand that it's not ALWAYS desirable to update all instances of saved content when the original source is updated, but sometimes it is. Speaking as a website developer, modern website drag-and-drop page builders allow saving content to a library in one of two modes: linked or unlinked. Linked (or "global") content stays in sync across all instances all the time (the requested feature here). Unlinked content clones individual instances from the source.
Allowing "linked" or "global" instances to be created in Pandadoc's Content Library would be super useful indeed.

Would really speed up changes on our "Terms and Conditions" across every template

This would tranform our working processes and make PandaDocs so much more useful. Please add this feature ASAP. It's critical to keep legal and other sensitive information up to date. Some content library items are used across many templates, and it's so time consuming having to re-add manually to each template each time there's an update to a content library item

Content from the content library can be standardized and updated at the template level when changes are made and allow for the mass updates of say, legal language instead of needing to either go through each template and re-add it or insert the required legal language every time.

Makes no sense to update the templates manually. -

Very keen to see this implemented. This would be very beneficial. Think about monstrous terms and conditions that are used in several templates, I want to be able to updated these once in the content library item and have those changes propagate out to all templates that use them.
To do this safely, you could consider that templates using the content library item do not automatically update. Rather you can go into those templates and "pull" in the latest changes.
Please implement this!

I just contacted Support about this, should have looked here first :)

This would be very useful, however needs to be implemented carefully as it would potentially change the formatting of a lot of documents. The customer would need to know which templates would be affected so they can check if they still want to go ahead and they still work afterwards

HUGE!! This makes so much sense

If I change the "payment terms" item in my content library, it should be nice that I can push this to all the templates that are using this item.
Now I need to update all templates manually
