I'm not sure I understand what change has been made so that this is now available. The only thing I see in the linked PandaDoc support documentation is, "Note: When you create documents from your Salesforce opportunities, document value currency will inherit opportunity currency." There aren't many details.
We have pricing tables based on other objects (quotes and orders)-- will the currency pass from these objects into the related PandaDoc documents generated? Is there something we should do in the template setup or in the PandaDoc configuration to make sure this works?
The same linked PandaDoc documentation still has this note: "Currency variable formatting is based on the recipient view locale. Custom money variables will pass to the document without a currency symbol and formatting." This seems to conflict with the new release and is confusing.
After checking with a support agent, it seems that this really is only a solution for documents generated from Opportunities. I've submitted an idea requesting that the currency pass from any Salesforce object to the linked PandaDoc pricing table. If you're looking for the same solution, please vote here: https://pandadoc.uservoice.com/forums/926629-ideas-to-improve-pandadoc/suggestions/48520928-pass-currency-from-various-objects-in-salesforce

We need to be able to have a single quote template where the currency is set based on Salesforce.

As others have noted in other threads, this is important for multi-currency [Salesforce] orgs. Setting the document currency based on the recipient's locale, the suggested solution in PandaDoc documentation, is not the solution we need. In our business, the currency we sell in is independent of the recipient's locale.

keep formatting of salesforce currency (formula fields, variables) when passed into pricing table

It would be outstanding if we did not need to set pricing table currency in the template before creating documents. If we had the ability to pull pricing table currency from SFDC opportunity via integration this would decrease the number of templates we have.
