Automatic calculations in fields
Automatic calculations in fields (E.G. Document.CreatedDate + 7 Days).
Ability to add a custom variable or field to calculate pricing and totals without using a pricing table or quote.
The status of this suggestion is currently unchanged. However, we now support a specific use case: calculating a date field based on the signature date (e.g. signing date + X days). To learn more about Autofill with Custom Date based on Signing Date, click here.

In Docusign we were able to use calculated fields, called Formula fields, which allowed you to automate calculations and display results in fields directly in your documents based on other number or date fields. This would be useful in forms. You can build formulas using standard mathematical operators and date functions to compute values like pro-rated amounts or contract durations, which automatically populate when the underlying fields are completed by a recipient. Our use case is for HSA enrollments, we want to give one field with a set of four dropdowns then based on what they select from that dropdown, it would autocalculate for them the other values in 3 fields. This is basic functionality.

Hi,
I'd like to chime in that these features would be very beneficial to have. Our finance department would like to be able to use Panda Docs more, and not having currency fields that can be calculated together is a major roadblock to implementing what we are trying to do.

I am testing pandadoc to see if we can use it for our business. I have a template that was created in indesign and I want to add categories, in this case I am trying to add a number field and I cant manage. I would like the numbers to then be added at the end

Please please implement this asap. Formula fields is a basic feature that many competitors have. Not just pricing tables. Fields that can add are important eg. in New Hire packages, staff can enter deductions on TD1 onboarding forms, with the total auto calculated. This will greatly reduce calculation errors, and need to resend forms with basic and avoidable manual calculation errors by form fillers. This can save a lot of time by helping ensure forms get filled correctly the first time.

Can we have an option to toggle business days?

Calculate a total for multiple fields. An example would be Field + Field = Total

It would be beneficial to have the date field auto-calculate for contracts.
For example: Project start date is 10/7/23. The next date, Project update #1, would be 7 days following the start date, and so on. But if the 10/7/23 date is missed by a few days and needs updating, then all dates need updating.

We need this option for a few different reasons. For example to be able to show a total cost (ex vat) of a contract with the discount applied.
Another example is if you have two pricing tables in the document and you want to show the sum of both pricing tables. A calculated field would make this possible. At the moment, we have to express this equation in text which is annoying for the receiver because he has to calculate the total manually.

would love the ability to create custom calculations - based on variables and based on custom field entries (examples: [variable 1*variable2] or [variable 1*.2]) - will completely change the way we create custom program pricing in our text-based form layouts.
